Weezer Kicks Off 'Troublemaker' Tour

Last night I checked out Weezer during the second night of their Troublemaker Tour in Madison Square Garden. I wasn't sure what to expect of the alt-rock band, sure I am a fan but I haven't been keeping up with them for the past couple of years. To make this story short, opener Angels & Airwaves (fronted by ex Blink-182 Tom Delonge) left everyone flabbergasted --not in a good way!.

Tom's sad attempts to rip off Dashboard Confessional beats, Robert Smith (The Cure) vocals, and U2's everything, were beyond sad. So much that people BOOED this band when they were done, and later on in the night when Weezer's frontman Rivers Cuomo invited Tom to sing "Undone - Sweater Song" the booing was obvious.

Anyway, it was worth it tho, the guys from Weezer delivered a high-energy show that was super fun. Rivers jumped all over the stage and on a little trampoline he set beside him. Highlights include two covers, "Morning Glory" by Oasis, and "Sliver" by Nirvana. They didn't play crowd faves like "Only In Dreams" but made up for it by singing the rare gem "Suzanne".
