First off is the Mexican national anthem, performed by a mariachi band.
While performing the
A confident Forbes making his way to the ring while the song "sweet dreams" plays on! rocking a black and red robe.
A mariachi band jams out as Oscar wearing a blue and orange robe, makes it to the ring, as the crowd goes nuts!

Round #1
Both fighters carefully studying each other, De La Hoya looking very lean and fit!
Forbes able to score a couple of jabs, De La Hoya connected a good hard jab to Forbes face. At the end of the round Forbes connected 2 powerful right hand blows to the face.
Round #2
Oscar took by surprise Forbes with a strong attack! Forbes is bleeding from the nose. Forbes backs up a bit. Oscar very aggressive with his right jab.
This round was all Oscar de la Hoya.

Round #3
Oscars left eye starting to get swollen, De La Hoya landing the jab. Both fighters trading body shots.

Round #4
Round #5
both gladiators trading punches, but nothing major happening in this round.
Round #6
DLH has thrown an avg. of 35 jabs per round, although the last round was awarded to Steve Forbes. Forbes bleeding profusely from the right eye. Still DLH getting in there at Forbes face with the jab.

Round #7
Five rounds to two DLH ahead in this fight. Good uppercut from DLH. Forbes hitting back but DLH able to block Forbes offense. Excellent combinations by DLH making Forbes tumble around. But it may take more than a few good punches to knock out this guy Forbes. Forbes in his 11th year career has never been knocked out!

Round #8
Both fighters’ trade jabs in the middle of the ring. Forbes tries to connect his punches but DLH is effective enough to block any of them. DLH showing some signs of fatigue.
Round #9
Round starts with Forbes looking more alive showing more aggressiveness, DLH responding with left hooks and jabs. DLH looking very good in this fight.
Round #10
DLH showing a bit more determination than Forbes at this point of the fight, DLH winning 8 rounds to 1. DLH looking like the aggressor with a good and effective rally of punches!
Round #11
Forbes fighting a bit too conservative and not taking any chances with the Golden Boy. Clearly DLH is winning this fight. Some call it a rehearsal for his next possible fight with Mayweather Jr. DLH rally’s with good combos!

Round #12
DLH with nothing to lose going all out and showing aggressiveness! But it all comes to an end shortly the crowd begins booing! Because of the lack of action in this round! As the bout comes to an end, the training session is over for DLH and you can hear a mix of cheering and booing from the crowd!
And the winner is Oscar de la Hoya!
Gee, what a surprise!

Clearly Steve “2 Pound” Forbes was no match for DLH, not tonight or any night. It was a sad fight to watch. Forbes has talent; the kid can take and land a punch but took no chances when it came time to dance with the Golden Boy of Boxing.
So what’s next for The Golden Boy?
Well with two fights left in his career two names come to mind, a rematch with Mayweather Jr. and one last dance with Miguel Cotto.
